Actually the pre-register thing is also a way to earn money as all one has to do is just send an sms costing 3 rupees with no obligation to buy later on. Thousands (lakhs?) of people will sms in, airtel/vodafone rope in lots of free money, and with so many people pre-registering, will there be enough units to give out?

Vodafone and Airtel already started pre register stuff.. what are they going to do with the 3G phone on their 2G network ?

I am not going to buy it it looks good, and ipod is a good thing … I will buy an iPod instead of this crap

enough:
1. Where did I mention the IRS?
2. I’m not going to buy it.
3. If we take the approach as suggested by you to any product on the market, well ,I guess then we should pretty well shut down each and every review site/gadget blog/forum on this planet. Public Expression of opinion should be outlawed. All people on this earth should be tagged and sorted into two columns “buyers” and “non-buyers”.

1. The iPhone is by Apple & AT&T not the IRS.
2. You don’t have to buy it if you don’t want to.
3. Read 1 and 2 again and by another product.
